Mediate BC to Administer CPMP & Hire Program Manager
Posted by Ann.Lee
We are very happy to announce that Mediate BC will take on administration of the Child Protection Mediation Program (CPMP) beginning April 1, 2020.
For more than two decades, Child Protection mediators have provided a key collaborative service for BC families who are working with MCFD or a delegated Aboriginal child and family service agency. Mediate BC has a long history of support for this program, including delivery of a Child Protection Mediation Practicum (2006-2011). We are proud to take on a larger role in ensuring this valuable service continues to be available throughout the province.
As Mediate BC prepares for this expanded role, we are seeking a Program Manager with both administrative experience and knowlede of the Child Protection context. This will be a part-time position, and could be undertaken remotely from anywhere in the province. Please share this listing widely and encourage those who may be interested to apply early.
We are grateful to the Ministry of Attorney General's CPMP and its staff for the incredible work they have done to build this program, and greatly appreciate their support during this transition.Mediate BC is committed to ensuring that there is no disruption in mediation services to families as we take on administration of this Program. We are reaching out to current Child Protection mediators to ensure that the transition of their contracts to Mediate BC is as seamless as possible.
Mediate BC is excited to take on this new role and looks forward to exploring opportunities for future growth in Child Protection mediation that come with this new model of program administration. We look forward to working with all stakeholders in that exploration.
Thank you,
Ann Lee
