Welcoming New Child Protection Mediation Program Manager

I'm excited to welcome Joan Braun to the Mediate BC team as the Manager, Child Protection Mediation Program.
She comes with a wealth of knowledge and experience having been a lawyer and mediator since 2004. She also is a social worker, having completed her Masters of Social Work thesis on Child Protection mediation, and has experience as a Child Protection mediator in BC. Joan has extensive experience managing non-profit sector programs and organizations. Her previous Mediate BC involvement includes being Civil Roster Mediator since 2005, being a Small Claims Mediator and mentor in the practicum program, and working on research and capacity building projects.
As mentioned before, our immediate priority during the program transfer is to maintain consistency and continuity in services for families and to ensure the most streamlined transition process possible for current CP mediators.
