About TDD

The Training & Development Department (TDD) has 3 major goals:

  • Build public awareness of conflict management options, pathways and resources including Mediate BC and its Rosters
  • Build capacity in organizations for effective communication and conflict management skills
  • Provide high quality professional development and advanced training in conflict resolution skills for skilled mediators and other conflict resolution professionals

Ever since its creation in 2012, the TDD has organized free monthly public education seminars, offered workshops and forged partnership with other agencies. We will continue our effort to reduce public’s reliance on formal justice system by fostering better conflict management skills among individuals, communities, and organizations as well as increase public’s access to well-trained conflict resolution practitioners.

TDD offers consulting, training/coaching and conflict assessment. We have provided workshops to different organizations (e.g. law enforcement agencies, medical, business and HR professionals) on various topics.
