Applicants must have completed at least five days of interest-based mediation training (typically 40 hours in total), including at least 10 hours of role-playing experience. Two or more courses that provide successive levels of training are acceptable to meet the minimum training requirements; two introductory level courses combined are not acceptable. The Program Manager has the ultimate discretion to determine whether an applicant's training meets the qualification requirements.
The start date for the next Court Mediation Practicum class has not yet been confirmed, but we anticipate that it will start in Spring 2015. If you are interested in participating in the next class, please take the following steps:
1. Complete the application process.
2. If your application is approved, you will be placed on the waiting list.
3. When the orientation dates for the next class are confirmed, offers will be made to qualified applicants on the waiting list in order of date of application. Applicants will have 15 days from the date of offer to confirm their place in the class with a deposit.

Practicum fees are generously subsidized by funding from the Ministry of Attorney General and the Law Foundation of British Columbia.
