Why Choose Med-Arb?
How do Parties Choose a Med-Arbitrator?
Med-arb has the potential to reduce the time, effort and cost of resolving a dispute.
Med-arb is flexible so the parties, with the med-arbitrator’s help, can craft their own process.
Med-arb is informal, private and less stressful than court proceedings.
Med-arb is voluntary and parties agree on using this process, which can lead to higher commitment to get to the finish.
Parties jointly choose the med-arbitrator who makes the decisions for them if they get to the arbitration phase.
Being involved in the mediation phase helps all parties learn better ways to solve problems and take more control over what happens in disputes; while the arbitration phase provides finality and parties can benefit from the expertise of the med-arbitrator.
