Family Roster Mediator Details

2004
I have a deep interest in working with intercultural issues in mediation, and have training and experience working with intercultural and immigrant families.
My legal practice focuses on mediation and dispute resolution. My life work is to help clients resolve disputes around what is most important to them: family and work. In mediation I harness the skills and experience of all the participants to develop good solutions together.

I enjoy supporting families through the difficult yet ultimately rewarding process of family rebuilding after separation or divorce. I bring empathy and attentiveness to couples as they decide to go forward on separate paths, and to parents as they make decisions together in the best interests of their children and their future. My knowledge of child development and intercultural and intergenerational issues allows me to help clients to find solutions that are tailored to their family. I also mediate Child Protection matters and for many years led Parenting after Separation workshops.

I would like to expand my practice to work with families from the LGBTQ community and families who are faced with elder law issues.

I am accredited as a Family Law Mediator and Family Law Arbitrator by the Law Society of British Columbia. I am a member of the Canadian Bar Association, BC Branch. In addition to the Family Roster, I am also on the Civil Roster and Child Protection Roster of Mediate BC.
