I have been practicing law since 1993 and throughout my years of practice have been very involved in mediations as counsel. That experience demonstrated to me the pivotal role that a mediator can have in the success of a mediation and the experience of clients in the mediation process. My practice has provided me with the opportunity to serve a broad variety of clients and my strength is my ability to relate to clients with diverse backgrounds. My practice has been a general civil litigation practice providing me with extensive experience in personal injury matters, employment law matters and general civil litigation.
My personal injury experience includes motor vehicle accidents, sexual abuse claims including historical institutional claims and claims arising from attendance at Indian Residential Schools, medical malpractice, occupiers liability claims and product liability claims. My employment law practice has included acting for both employers and employees and involving a variety of types of claims ranging from Employment Standards and Human Rights to wrongful dismissal. I have experience with a variety of workplace issues and have been involved in workplace investigations of a range of issues including bullying and harassment.
My general civil litigation practice has exposed me to claims relating to defamation, misappropriation, contractual breaches and sales of businesses. In my mediation training I had the opportunity to be involved in mediations regarding wills and estates and found that my practice experience was generally applicable to this area. I would be interested in mediating disputes regarding wills and estates.

-Mediation hourly rate is available upon request and will vary depending on the number of parties and complexity of the case
-Travel fees are applicable for mediations occurring outside of the Lower Mainland.

Cancellation fees will be charged upon notice of the cancellation as follows:
(a) between 7 clear business days and 24 hours prior to the time set for the commencement of the mediation, the parties will be billed a flat fee of $1000, plus time spent on the file, plus taxes and disbursements, in equal shares;
(b) within 24 hours prior to the time set for commencement of the mediation, the parties will be billed a for the time booked for the mediation, plus taxes and disbursements in equal shares.
