Before moving to Vancouver, I practised as a real estate and litigation lawyer in Messrs. Mayer Brown (formerly known as Johnson Stokes & Master) in Hong Kong for 15 years. I have extensive experience in handling property transactions, land acquisition and court proceedings relating to land compulsory sale with the Lands Tribunal in Hong Kong.

When I acted as a legal counsel in land litigation, I participated in numerous mediations. I witness how parties are benefited from mediation and an amicable settlement of their dispute. It saves them a lot of time, cost and energy in the matter and also preserves parties’ relationship. Even if settlement is not reached, mediation can serve as a good way of communication and narrow down issues in dispute.

I was accredited as General Mediator by the Law Society of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre in 2013. I have since then been an Accredited Mediator on the General Panel of the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre and Hong Kong Mediation Accreditation Association Limited.

After relocation to Vancouver, I was designated by the ADR Institute of Canada as Qualified Mediator (Q.Med.) in 2018 and started my mediation practice. I am experienced in mediating disputes relating to housing, commercial and residential leasing, wills and estate, workplace and neighbour issues. In addition to mediation, I also give trainings and seminars on mediation and conflict resolution. I am a mediator of the Conflict Intervention Service of Bar Association of San Francisco, assisting parties to deal with commercial and residential real estate disputes.

I volunteer as a facilitator in Sport Law Connect Program of viaSport BC. I am also part of the Symposium Organizing Team of 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2022 ADRBC Symposium.

Apart from the above experience, I have been serving in church and various Christian organizations for many years. I have a passion for helping Christians to resolve conflict from a biblical perspective. I also provide service on Christian mediation and peace-making.

I was admitted as solicitor in Hong Kong and England & Wales in 2002 and 2003 respectively. I speak English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
