I am able to set up and host Mediations by ZOOM

I worked for over 40 years in the Insurance industry, dealing with large catastrophic losses and as a Manager. I have considerable experience in the resolution of claims and have been involved in hundreds of mediations. I have an excellent understanding of negotiations, discount tables and Supreme Court Rules. I feel that my experience can benefit all of the parties. I believe that I have the requisite rapport and respect from the legal community to assist in the mediation process

July 1968 to July1970, I worked at the BCAA.

July 1970 to December 1974 I worked at BC Motorist Insurance Company as a supervisor, manager of the Subrogation Department and then an adjuster of injury claims until ICBC.

December 1974 to September 1985 I worked as a Bodily Injury Adjuster. I dealt with represented and unrepresented plaintiffs. I retained and instructed defence counsel, adjusters and other experts.

September 1985 to February 2009 I handled primarily catastrophic injuries. I investigated liability, personal injuries, retained medical and other experts, retained and instructed defence counsel, evaluated claims and settled claims directly with plaintiff counsel. One of my main tools was mediation and I did 50 - 60 a year with a success rate of about 99%. From time to time, I acted in the capacity of acting manager where I attended committee meetings. I provided guidance and file direction as well as authority on files. I also liaised with field office where I also provided guidance and file direction as well as authority on files (basically mentoring adjusters). Over the years I reported to several managers and had good Performance Reviews.


February 2009 to July 2011 I worked as a Manager before retiring to become a Mediator

My interests have been vast. I do many arts and crafts. I golf (if you can call it that!), curl, play softball, swim and have enjoyed horseback riding since the age of 12. My most memorable horseback trip was a one week trip in behind Jasper in July where it snowed for 7 hours as we climbed into the ramparts. I have travelled to Asia many times, including South Korea, Japan and Thailand. My husband and I have been together since 1986. We enjoyed boating for many years and had a 35' sailboat. I miss it sometimes, but not the expense that goes along with it.
