I have completed arbitration training with the ADR Institute of BC in conjunction with Royal Roads University. I have completed documents only arbitrations respecting ICBC vehicle valuation disputes.
I have been practicing as a lawyer since 1988 and as a mediator since 1997. I started my legal career in Vancouver and then moved to Nanaimo in 1992 and to Victoria in 2001. I practiced primarily in the areas of personal injury, insurance and real estate litigation. In 2005, I left full time litigation practice and have worked primarily as a mediator since, but also provide contract legal services and handle some of my own files.
I have mediated in a wide variety of disputes including complex personal injury, insurance, real estate transactions, employment, and wills and estates.
My interests outside of work include travel, camping, kayaking/SUP'ing, windsurfing and skiing. I have recently taken my first two tandem skydives and have learned to ride a motorcycle.
