Child Protection Roster Mediator Details

I am a member of the Wuikinuxv people of Rivers Inlet. In 2001 I graduated from UVIC with a Bachelor of Arts in Child and Youth Care. After graduating I began my work with the Urban Aboriginal community. My work as a Family Development Worker provided me with a strong foundation to support MCFD involved families. This helped me to better understand the inter-generational impacts of residential school and how these may affect one's ability to parent positively. My most recent job as a Family Group Conference Coordinator allowed me to support families and MCFD staff to work together to create amazing plans for aboriginal children.

I began mediating in 2008. I completed a mentored practicum with the D.R. Innovation Society. I currently reside in Campbell River and I am willing to travel in order to meet the needs of Aboriginal families across the island.
