I am culturally inclined and encourage the use of cultural tools in the mediation process. I am from the St'at'imc Nation and can use my own tools and teachings or encourage others to use their own tools and teachings. I have personal and working knowledge of child welfare services to Aboriginal Peoples, band administration procedures, Indigenous family & political systems.
K'alhwa7acw nsnuk'wa7!

I am a proud St'at'imc woman with 2 beautiful children and a vast extended family, both biological and adoptive. I have personal experience with cross-cultural adoption as I was adopted into a non-native home. As a young adult, I was blessed with the challenging and fulfilling opportunity for reunification with my birth family and my Indigenous culture.

I have 21 years of professional experience working with First Nations communities in the area of Child Welfare. In the past, I have taught at Thompson Rivers University, supervised at Secwepemc Child & Family Services as well as worked at a grass-roots level within my own and other First Nations communities. I have also worked with Splatsin Stsmamlt Services which operates uniquely under its own authority and jurisdiction. I completed my Masters of Social Work in Indigenous Specialization through distance learning with the University of Victoria in 2016.
