Child Protection Roster Mediator Details

2008
Multi-party mediations, including First Nations, MCFD, DAA. I have been able to create a space for people with substance misuse issues and / or mental health issues to meaningfully participate in collaborative planning. I have experience supporting children and youth to have a voice at the table where decisions about their lives are being made. I have been successful at supporting high conflict personalities to participate and co-create plans to move forward.
I am a member of the Wuikinuxv people of Rivers Inlet. In 2001 I graduated from UVIC with a Bachelor of Arts in Child and Youth Care. After graduating I began my work with the Urban Aboriginal community. My work as a Family Development Worker provided me with a strong foundation to support MCFD involved families. This helps me to better understand the inter-generational impacts of residential school and how these may affect one's ability to be present. I have been supporting parties for almost 11 years to come together to have tough discussions to make amazing plans that allow parties to move forward.

I currently reside Victoria and I am willing to travel in order to meet the needs of families.
