Child Protection Mediation Program Looking for Indigenous Advisory Committee Members

Posted by Joan.Braun

Mediate BC has several strategic goals, two of which are: increasing the number of Indigenous mediators on the Child Protection Roster; and building stronger connections with Indigenous communities.

To help us reach these goals, we are forming an Indigenous Advisory Committee for the Child Protection Mediation Program. The Committee with meet monthly to discuss these goals, and also provide recommendations about program design when Mediate BC begins work on its application for renewed funding for the Child Protection Mediation Program this fall.

We are looking for committee members who identify as Indigenous, and who have current or past experience as a Child Protection mediator, or who have strong familiarity with the program and extensive experience in the Child Protection area.

For more information, or if you would like to volunteer to sit on the indigenous advisor committee please contact Joan Braun Child Protection Mediation Program Manager at joan.braun@mediatebc.com.
