Roster Renewals

Registered Roster Mediators and associates (excluding Child Protection mediators) seeking to renew their status are asked to complete the following steps every year. Deadlines are based on the mediator's date of admission. A courtesy email is sent to advise mediators of an upcoming renewal.

 

Step 1: Fill out a Renewal and CPD Form

Download and complete the Renewal and Continuing Professional Development form that corresponds to your roster status (see links below). Be sure to save a copy for records.

The annual professional development requirement for maintaining Roster status is 12 hours of mediation specific training or education, including at least 7 hours of formal structured learning. More detailed information regarding this requirement can be found here. When completing this form, please ensure that the information you provide is sufficiently detailed to demonstrate your ongoing, mediation-related efforts.

 

Step 2: Acquire Confirmation of Insurance Coverage

Request a confirmation of your errors & omissions liability insurance from your insurance provider. For more information, click the button below:

If you are a lawyer, provide a confirmation of your good standing with the Law Society of BC. 

 

Step 3: Email Mediate BC

Attach all your documents from steps 1 and 2 in an email, and send it to mediators@mediatebc.com

 

Step 4: Pay Renewal Fee

Choose one of the following methods of online payment:

Pay by PayPal

Please select the appropriate renewal fee from the dropdown menu then click PayPal.

After you click PayPal, payment can be sent by logging into PayPal OR by using a credit card or Visa Debit card.

All online payments are processed through PayPal's high-security online platform (see privacy and legal information). Mediate BC does not store any credit/debit card information.

 

Pay by INTERAC E-TRANSFER

You can transfer your Roster renewal fee to finance@mediatebc.com. Please put the following information in the notes section:

  • First and Last Names
  • Roster(s) which you are renewing

Please double check the information before sending the e-transfer as refunds are only available by cheque in this payment method.

Step 5: Login and Update Roster Profile

Login to your Roster Profile account and use the form there to update your Roster Profile.
