I began my journey in ADR in 1999 when I studied Negotiation and Mediation at the Justice Institute of BC. My completion of the program there coincided with my Canadian Legal Accreditation and a renewed energy to incorporate ADR into my "new" practice as a lawyer in Canada. I continued to surround myself with teachers and students of mediation since then while building up a successful litigation and family law practice. My grounding principle in Family Law has always been "First do no harm". My goal has been to encourage consensus, cooperation and rational decision-making. As my experience and reputation grew I began to receive more requests to act as a mediator and have expanded my practice now such that that mediation and med-arbitration is a substantial part of my practice. I can adapt my skill-set to meet the needs of parties and can deliver neutral case evaluation; interest based mediation; coaching or med-arbitration services.
