I have mediated several multi-party disputes. In addition, I have spoken on the topic of mediation both in Canada and the United States. I have also created dispute resolution processes for clients.

I was called to the bar in 1986 and began mediating in 1990. Prior to becoming a full-time mediator in 1996 I was a partner in the law firm of Clark, Wilson and practiced in the areas of personal injury, insurance, general commercial insurance and employment law. I completed my mediation training from Harvard Law School, the Justice Institute of British Columbia and Continuing Legal Education of British Columbia. I have received further training in Canada, the United States and Europe. I have provided multi-day mediation training, have acted as a mediation coach for Continuing Legal Education and have presented on the topic of mediation in British Columbia to the Trial Lawyers Association, the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia and MediateBC. In addition, I have designed dispute resolution processes specific to the client needs. I have successfully mediated thousands of disputes in various areas including personal injury (soft tissue to catastrophic claims), private insurance claims, wills and estate matters, and employment issues. I am a true believer in the mediation process as I see first hand the high satisfaction and success rate using the process.
