I offer mediation services for two party and multi-party disputes. I also offer stakeholder facilitation services. I can provide online dispute resolution services via Zoom, teleconference, and other platforms as requested.
My mediation areas of interest are: land use; First Nations issues; inter-governmental issues; natural resource/environment issues; high-conflict personalities; public policy issues; landlord-tenant issues; company-community engagement; stakeholder engagement; employment/workplace issues.

Experienced in resolving complex, multi-party, difficult disputes in high profile, high conflict areas with major financial implications through collaborative conversations. Negotiated agreements to settle land use conflicts with Indigenous groups, federal-provincial land and cash transfers, and workplace contractual disputes. This experience primes me to act as a neutral to mediate community, business, employment, insurance, and housing/real estate civil disputes.
I have a BA in Political Science (McGill University, 1988), and MBA (Royal Roads University, 2003) and a Certificate in Conflict Resolution: Third-Party Intervention (Justice Institute of BC, 2019).
I volunteer on the Practice and Calls to Action Committees of the Mediate BC board of directors.
I am also on the Conflict Intervention Service roster of the Bar Association of San Francisco assisting parties in residential and commercial real estate disputes.

I charge a minimum of four hours for any mediation, unless I agree in writing otherwise. Goods and Service Tax of 5% will be added to all professional fees. Fees will be based on complexity, number of parties and location. I also offer full-day and half-day rates.
I also charge clients all out-of-pocket expenses incurred in providing services, which may include parking, mileage, taxis, airfare, hotel accommodations, at current British Columbia government rates.

Fees may apply if the service is canceled with notice of less than 48 hours.
