Having been involved in the auto insurance business for about 35 years I have had the opportunity to participate directly in the resolution of thousands of cases. I have worked for I.C.B.C. as a senior claims examiner and manager and I have worked as a consultant for plaintiff law firms for a number of years. This experience has allowed me to understand the technical complexities inherent in many disputes. It has also provided me with first-hand knowledge about what is required by insurance companies to properly assess and pay claims. Just as important, my experience has given me a great deal of insight into the tremendous toll injuries can have on individuals. I have participated in well over 1,000 mediations, primarily in B.C. but also in other jurisdictions in Canada and the U.S.A.

I began my career working for I.C.B.C. in 1985. I was employed in virtually every claims-related position within I.C.B.C. I was a senior Claims Examiner and a senior Bodily Injury Manager for most of my career at I.C.B.C. My work was focussed on handling catastrophic injury claims. Upon leaving I.C.B.C. in 2013, I began working for law firms performing plaintiff personal injury work. In this capacity I have worked as a Case Manager and as an MVA Practice Manager. I have also provided consulting services to law firms. Over the course of my career I have had the pleasure of working with many professionals in the industry and of meeting many hundreds of people whose lives were disrupted, often catastrophically, as a result of the injuries they sustained.
I spent most of my younger years living and working in several communities in the interior of B.C.
