Mediation Consultation, Pro Bono, Speaker's Bureau
I have been practicing law since 1982. My practice has focused almost exclusively in the area of civil litigation and dispute resolution. I am associate Counsel with the firm of Waddell Raponi LLP which was founded in 1987.
I have practiced before all levels of court in British Columbia as well as many administrative tribunals. More importantly, I have developed strength as a problem solver and negotiator. That strength and interest led naturally into the area of mediation. Since beginning my practice as a mediator, I have mediated hundreds of disputes in many areas of law.
I am also qualified as an Arbitrator and am able to offer Mediation/Arbitration in appropriate cases. This process allows the parties to design a process that addresses the specific circumstances of their case and provides them the assurance of a resolution to their disputes.
I have taught courses as a sessional instructor at the University of Victoria Law School and regularly contribute to courses and publications in the area of continuing professional development. I was a governor of the British Columbia Law Foundation from 2011 to 2016 and am an executive director of the Canadian Research Institute for Law and the Family.
