I have been mediating since 2013 and a Mediate BC Civil Roster Mediator since 2017. In addition to my work as a mediator, I am a local government lawyer, working for communities across BC and Alberta. I regularly advise local government on variety of legal matters, including governance, negotiations, litigation, planning and development. I have represented clients in the BC Provincial Court and Supreme Court and know first hand the uncertainty, time and expense that may come from litigation. As mediator, I strive to tailor each mediation to the parties' particular needs and to assist and support them in arriving at their own solutions. I encourage collaboration and creativity in the dispute resolution process, while my approach remains down-to-earth and pragmatic. Prior to my call to the bar, I clerked for five justices of the BC Supreme Court.
