My special areas of practice are in the Health Care sector, having worked in the sector for 10 years, and in all areas concerning the provincial government, including workplace issues and other conflicts with and within government.

I am a Mediator, Conflict Coach and Conflict Management Consultant in private practice. As the former Assistant Deputy Minister of Talent Management for the Government of British Columbia I established an all-new way of dealing with conflict for the public service workplace.

I opened the Conflict Management office as an alternative to the rights based approach to conflict that had been used for many years in the public service. In so doing, the goal is to shift the culture of the organization from a directive orientation to one that is “conflict competent” . I specialize in mediating workplace disputes, conflict coaching and conducting workplace improvement processes.

I began my career as a broadcast journalist with CBC Radio and TV. I was a news reporter and an on air interviewer for 15 years in locations across Canada. Prior to my ADR work, which I began in 2012 working in Small Claims, I was the Chief Executive responsible for Communication and Public engagement with the Interior Health Authority, an executive with Government Communications, and an executive director of accounts and business consulting with the Public Service Agency, Government of BC.
