Kamaljit Kaur Lehal is a lawyer and has been operating her own law firm, Lehal Law Corporation (formerly Lehal & Company) in Delta, British Columbia since 1992. She was called to the British Columbia Bar in 1990. Her areas of practice are: immigration, Work Safe BC and personal injury law. As well, Kamaljit is on both the BC Civil Roster of Mediators and Family Roster with Mediate BC. She received training in mediation through the Harvard Law School, Program on Negotiation. She also offers co-mediation services. She provides Law Society Fee Mediation services when requested.

As a personal injury lawyer Ms. Lehal has represented clients both in court and at mediations, a large majority of her files resolve, successfully, through negotiations. She has represented clients on Work Safe BC matters all the way to the BC Court of Appeal. In the area of immigration law she has represented women, successfully, on gender persecution grounds and has represented clients in Federal Court. Her legal advocacy has a focus on providing a voice for those caught up in legal issues with various governmental bodies.

Outside of her legal practice, from 1998 to 2010 she was a member and alternate chair for the British Columbia Review Board where she presided over cases pertaining to individuals found not guilty of a criminal offence on account of a mental disorder. She was also a member of the Civil Resolution Tribunal from 2015 to March 2019 and provided decisions on small claims disputes.

Ms. Lehal is active in the community, since 1996 she has been a director of the Board of OPTIONS Community Services, a not for profit organization that supports families and community health. She is a member of the Community Coordination for Women's Safety, a committee of EVA BC (The Ending Violence Association of BC). She was a supervising lawyer for EVA BC on a Law Foundation project pertaining to domestic violence and immigrant women.

Aside from her work and social commitment, Kamaljit is busy with her husband raising four children.

    My hourly rate is $350.00 per hour, however, if the matter is multi-party or a co-mediation then the fees are $450.00 per hour.
    If a mediation is cancelled within 7 days of scheduled mediation date, and not rescheduled, the cancelling party will pay a cancellation fee.

    There is no cancellation fee in respect of mediation cancelled for more than 7 days before a scheduled mediation.
