I have substantial experience working with multi-partied disputes, where the government is a party at the table. I also have a broad background in social services and working with people with disabilities, capacity issues, mental health and addictions. From 2006-2012, I mentored Aboriginal mediators in many communities around the Province.
Cultural Experience:First Nations Peoples, Agencies and Communities
I began my mediation career as a family mediator for the B.C. Provincial Court in 1997. In 1998 my mediation practice expanded to include mediating and mentoring small claims. Since that time, I have mediated a vast range of issues including (but definitely not limited to!) construction, debt, employment and workplace, insurance and personal injury, strata, corporate and community disputes.
I have a broad background in social services including working with youth, families and persons with disabilities and have been providing child protection mediation services since 2003. I have also developed, facilitated and provided coaching services for many conflict resolution and mediation training programs for government agencies and the private sector.
