Since 2006 I’ve been supporting others through important life transitions. My practice is built on my diverse training in mediation, coaching and education.
I received a Certificate in Conflict Resolution: Family Mediation through the Justice Institute of BC. My clinical field training was completed with Mediate BC. I am both a provincially (Mediate BC) and nationally certified (Family Mediation Canada) family mediator and a designated Family Dispute Resolution Professional under the new Family Law Act in BC. Under the ministries of Justice and Children and Family Development, I am a contracted private sector mediator.
As a passionate family educator, I’m committed to the value of supporting what is in the best interest of children. My training in evidenced based parent education is an asset in plan of care issues for children and youth. I am a Certified Adlerian Parent Facilitator and also a BC Friends for Life Facilitator through the Ministry of Children and Family Development.
Further specialized training and experience, in youth issues, addiction and family violence; serve well in dealing with complex family dynamics. I am a certified BC Provincial Instructor and Life Coach/Counsellor, with a degree in Adult Education.
As a member of the BackBone Team (BBO) supporting Foundry Centres (foundrybc.ca ),it is my privilege to bridge relationships and communication between the BBO, youth, families, caregivers and services providers in the community centres. My role as a FamilySmart Consultant on the Foundry Backbone team supports and informs my mediation work.
