Child Protection Roster Mediator Details

I am a Certified Comprehensive Family Mediator with a Certificate in family mediation from the Justice Institute of BC. I have facilitated over 150 Family Group Conferences with the Ministry of Children & Family regarding child protection matters. I am especially experienced in matters related to drug and alcohol abuse.
I am a retired Social Worker now in private practice as a Family Mediator. I have worked with families as a Youthworker, Social Worker, Family Conference Coordinator and Mediator for over forty years. Over the past sixteen years I have worked primarily mediating and facilitating family group conferences with regards to child protection cases.
I have worked extensively with First Nations and MCFD social workers throughout British Columbia as both a mediator and a trainer in conflict resolution.
I am an active coach on faculty with the Centre for Conflict Resolution at the Justice Institute of British Columbia.
I hold a Masters degree in Adult Learning and Education from U.B.C and a Certificate in Family Mediation from the J.I.B.C. I am certified with Family Mediation Canada as a Comprehensive Family Mediator.
I am particularly interested in mediating high-conflict cases and willing to travel.
