Safeguarding Personal Information
Safeguarding personal information is a fundamental concern of the Mediate BC Society (the “Society”). The Society is committed to meeting or exceeding the privacy standards established by British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and any other applicable legislation. This Personal Information Protection Policy describes the policies and practices of the Society regarding the collection, use and disclosure of personal information about its employees, volunteers, contractors, mediators, students and individuals who participate in the mediation process. In particular, the policy will describe the steps being taken to ensure personal information is handled appropriately and securely.
