Announcing the Med-Arb Roster!
Mediate BC is very excited to be launching a new roster for Med-Arbitrators trained and experienced in med-arb, a hybrid process that balances the opportunity to reach a mutually acceptable agreement and the certainty of resolution. Work is underway to formalize the current Med-Arb: Guidelines and Recommended Standards
into Standards of Conduct and the Med-Arb Roster application criteria are available here
Supported by the Dispute Resolution Office of the Ministry of Justice, this roster and set of Standards will offer another way to help British Columbians in conflict. It is part of a spectrum of options that ranges from negotiation, where full control is retained by the participants, to adjudication, where control is given over to an authority.
